Weight is displayed on a 7 segment LCD. To achieve its .1-pound Accuracy, the PS50 uses its automatic calibration feature. The Tare feature is used to set the weight of a container for small items to zero, so when the items are weighed, only the items weight are shown. A mechanical overload protector prevents damage to the scale when weighing items over 5 pounds. The weighing platform, which measures 5.5 by 5 inches, features a fold-up top for weighing oversized items, such as large flat envelopes or mailing tubes.
