5Great Fun and Exercise for the entire family!  May 11, 2008 By Florida Mom "FL Mom"
Our son saw the subskate in our local pool store sales ad and HAD to have it! He chose to use his birthday money for it. He has the orange one. Being a skateboarder, it was the perfect activity for the pool.
This was last year - May 2007. Here it is May 2008, and it is STILL one of his favorite pool toys. He gets the subskate out every time he gets in the pool. The entire family has tried it out. His friends have enjoyed playing with it as well. It still looks as good as it did the day he got it. It is very sturdy and has held up to a LOT of tough ALL BOY play.
I have to admit when I first saw it I thought it was not very impressive, but he wanted it so much and it was his birthday money. I am glad he got. He has had so much fun with it. His balance has improved for skateboarding and martial arts. It took a few tries to get the hang of it, but then he was having a great time with it.

5So Simple Design SOOO MUCH FAMILY FUN!  Jun 08, 2009 By xoxo "woodfairy"
By the looks of this thing you'd not expect much out of it. However, my whole family and the neighborhood kids actually wait in line to use this thing. It has been run over, chewed on by doggie, used for scratching post by kitty, battled a few no-seeums, and even took a 3 week trip through the swamp via the last tornadic flashflood. However, she stills works as good as the day we got her and continues to capture of the attention of eveyone. Fun? The most you'll ever have. And to think such hunk of foam brought such closeness, companshionship, and sharing to our house.

My son who has cerebal palsy, autism, & seizures has enjoyed this the most. His smiles are priceless. ANd he has learned some cool tricks with it and that accomplishment alone when I see his face would make me buy a hundred more. He KNOWS he can do it now. It's improved his confidence in almost everything. And the thing is, it's safe! No metal, no hard edges, no strings attatched.

FYI this thing is not just for the pool. After a good rain it's even more fun in the puddles left behind.

5Fun Pool Toy  Jul 29, 2010 By Katrina

5very cool noodle alternative  Jul 12, 2010 By The Saint
Friends had a couple of these and my whole family loved them. They are the first floats to get grabbed up at the pool. We bought 3 for ourselves and love them. They are much easier to carry and store than noodles and they are much cooler. We have balancing contests to see who can "stand" on them for the longest, or "surf" across the pool while standing/floating on them, or jump into the pool on top of them and stay afloat. All kinds of stuff. If you don't like these things, you just don't have much of an imagination.

1Glorified Flotaion Toy  Jun 05, 2008 By Laura A. Maginn
My boys didn't find the subskate all it was hyped to be. It is basically a glorified flotation toy. It is a great size to bring to the pool and lake, but we don't feel like we are "skating" or "surfing".
