5great swim cap  Aug 06, 2007 By K. Torgerson
this swim cap does a great job of keeping my hair up and out of the way when I'm swimming my laps. There is very little drag in the water now and my hair stays nicely protected. It does have ribbing on the inside and it stays on tightly without letting much chlorine get to my hair. I also pre-wet my hair before getting in the pool to prevent it from sucking up the chlorinated water. there is almost no slippage and my goggles also stay nicely in place. The nicest part is that it goes on nice and easily too, even when wet!

4slick  Sep 06, 2009 By P. Mulligan "traveling gramma"
Bought this because I was going to be using a swimming pool and didn't want my "blonde" hair to turn colors. Well I must say it was wonderful. Easy to get on and off. Did not feel like I had anything on my head, and my hair although I wear it short, was just great even after swimming. The light weight of this cap is great too.

2Difficult to put on  Dec 29, 2007 By Christina Yau
Have to wet hair before I can fit it onto my head without it slipping off. And it sort of defeats the purpose of a swim cap if you ask me.

1Couldn't be more disappointed  Jul 28, 2010 By F.Blaubach
I bought this from [...] and they didn't mention the translucency to this cap. Looks creepy on...like a nylon over your head! YUK. I swim 4-5 miles per week in a lap pool so I'm always looking for a nice cap. This wasn't it. WAY too tight. I have a small head and wear a small helmet for cycling. This one gave me a headache and hurt my ears. I also wear a ponytail and it pressed so tightly I had to remove my band. The thickness was too much as well. It didn't mold to the head well. I'll go back to my standard speedo silicone cap. So far, I like those the best. TYR I've found are too thin and tear. Speedo makes great goggles (womens vanquisher) that fit a womens head/face well. I never have leakage and they hold up well. My favorite suits? Speedo and the TYR reversible. The other TYR's seem to wear thru fast. (at least for me...and I rinse/wash mine after each swim. Sorry for the rant...hope this helps.

5tight but that's the point  Nov 04, 2011 By Prof. Bunny
I've seen the reviews that complain about this cap's ugliness and too-tightness. Well, yes, the cap isn't flattering, and I don't know why they couldn't make it opaque like other caps. Choose the blue color and you'll have the least see-through of the three. And maybe it's semi-transparent because this is certainly a different gauge of silicone: quite thick and thus very tight. I have a small head so it doesn't bother me as much as others but even on me it's super-tight. But all other caps ride up on my head, thus getting my hair wet when I don't want it, and above all sluicing water into my ears. Even with cotton balls wedged in there, I still have water rattling in my ears after swimming or even sometimes get an infection. Thus the Serenity is the ONLY swim cap I will buy. It seals my ears and never, ever rides up. Because it's so thick it never loses elasticity, and after owning a couple for about seven years I suspect these caps last forever. Still, I'm here on Amazon buying another 3 because I'm terrified that Speedo will stop making them. Consider this a rave.
