Excellent paddle set Jun 19, 2009
By Seattle Man I've used several other paddle sets but these are the best. This design has the most intuitive 'water ergonomics' and they feel like a second set of hands to me.
Only drawback are the rubber straps that break after a few months. Poor design although Speedo includes replacement straps in the package.

Too big for beginners Jan 20, 2010
By C. Kinezos These were the first paddles I ever tried and they seem to be too wide for me. They are probably good for advanced swimmers but for your first pair it is better to try something smaller and perhaps contoured to your hand.

An inexpensive swim aid that is worth trying! Dec 14, 2009
By Mark D. Cerny The swim paddles were reccomended to me by a friend at the Y. I wanted to develop my flabby pecks. Over a year's time I'd say they're working! My wife has noticed a difference in my body. I'm on my second pair since the clorine in the pool water weakened the original rubber straps over time. I have used other brands but this Speedo model seems to work the best.
speedo swim paddles Mar 13, 2012
By Love2Swim Great product from Speedo. As always, great service and timely shipping from Amazon. I wish the product description would include the color along with the size, so that I could be sure I'm ordering the correct size. Since size in not generally indicated on the product, I have a hard time matching what I've seen other swimmers using in the pool to what I see online.
Good for upper body training Nov 21, 2011
By Johnny6 These are good aids for anyone who would like to improve their upper body strength while swimming. They are fairly large; they fit my husband's big hands quite comfortably. They can also be adjusted for those with smaller hands (like mine).
A word of warning - start slowly with these. You will have sore muscles the next day, so I would not recommend them for your full set of lap swimming the first day.
