Fun but some skill required Mar 29, 2007

My sister got this for her 6th birthday and she likes Polly pocket. She loved putting on the stickers but setting up the car wash was a bit hard for her. I had to do it. We also had trouble with the front bumper going onto the car but we still had fun "pimping out" Polly's car.

Mixed Feelings Mar 27, 2007
By My Old KY Home I have mixed feelings about this item. My daughter loves the car. It does work but there is one piece on the garage that has a tendancy to fall off. It is the piece that holds the front bumper to the garage with magnets. There was a twist tie on it when I opened the package but I took it off (because that's what you do with twist ties on childrens products). Over all it works and it was cheap so I really can't complain. The magazine rack uses little pieces of card board as the magazines...those have all been torn off by my daughter. UPDATE: This just ended up in the trash. It was too difficult for my 5 year old. Too many pieces and fragile. I wish I could lower the star rating.
Take a deep breath and buy it for the car and Polly. Jul 20, 2010
By William Hardin Life is too short to stress out such simple things so let me break this down for you.
You get a Polly Pocket Polly doll that no one has any issues with. You also get a Polly Pocket Car that is both a convertible and a coup that reviewers say is better than most others. Based on current Amazon pricing those 2 things are worth at least $25 to $45 dollars alone.
You also get the "car wash" type body shop building that seems to be creating the issues that reviewers are complaining about. Yes it is hard to do and yes there are little pieces but you don't have to use it to make this a GREAT purchase. Even if you just use it as a Polly building to help create a town and play on top of it, you are being PAID to take it once you figure out what the car and the doll are worth.
I understand it the entire process of upgrading the car via the body shop isn't too pretty but you need to step back and realize because of that, you are getting a crazy good deal on the entire set. Now I could understand if this was say $40 or higher, but at under 18 shipped, this is one of the best Polly deals around to me. Heck if the body shop upsets you, recycle it when it arrives...;)

Worst Polly Toy I've Bought Nov 14, 2008
By AshB. My four year old loves Polly Pocket. I bought her this set, and it's just awful! Within minutes of opening the package, and putting it all together for her, the whole thing fell apart, again and again. The main gist of it ended up in the trash. I kept the little chair and dresser, and the doll: none of which are impressive.
The only GOOD part: She does love the little car! She plays with it almost every day, but without the accessories (the hubcaps have little magnets on them, so I took 'em away...).
Not worth more than you're willing to pay for the car.

not so great Oct 29, 2007
By Lisa This is one of those toys that takes 3 arms to operate. It does work, but really only for an adult who has stronger hands to hold the device while pushing the yellow button from side to side. Overall, the girls just use the car as a car and don't bother playing with the makeover machine.
