When I bought this memory card, I thought i was getting a great deal. I did get a good deal, but when i opened the package, the memory card looked a little "fatter" and on the back it said "made in china" and the colors were slightly different. If you look at the memory cards that came with your PS2 the mem card says "made in japan" on the back and is much thinner. The memory card will not be recognized by my ps2 50% of the time, and the other 50%, it makes my ps2 freeze. I do not recomend this product....just go to best buy or any store and buy it from there.

This product didn't work. My playstation 2 couldn't detect the card. It did; however, detect my nephew's card and the one I had to buy from Wal-Mart because the one I purchased here did not work.

i just want to say that the memory card that i got was definitly a jenuine sony memory card, it was factory sealed, when i put it in the ps 2 i had to format it, it dident have anney files allready saved on it, it was un formated, as every soney memory card i have ever boyt in the past. i compaird it to one i got at wall mart 4 months earlier fore $ 19.95 and it was identical, both said made in china, so does my 6 month old ps 2 slim, witch i also got at wall mart. the thickness was the same, the writing on the front and back wer exactly the same, i took them apart to check the circuit boards, thay wer the same, thay both had printed on them >EP-(GW+GN)< even the scrues wer the same high quality. i have ben using it fore several days, saving and loading game saves, so far no problums. on the back it says. SCPH-10020. N1158. complies canada ICES-003/NMB-003. MADE IN CHINA.. at 50% off !! I GOT A KILLER DEAL !! and i am glad i did, hoow knows how mutch longer thay will make thease..GET EM WHILE YOU CAN..

this was a gift for my son...he loves it. it did already have some data saved to it, but it was easy enough to delete and make room for my son's data. I would recommed.
