I bought this for my 5 year old, but my 3 year old can do it too.
We've had several wonderful, quiet and peaceful evenings working on these mosiacs. The 1/4 inch foam tiles are easy to pick up, apply and re-apply if necessary. The patterns are clearly marked on sturdy paper and the kits include enough tiles to complete all the pictures and some of the backgrounds.
This toy will only work for kids who recognize numbers 1 through 7. This toy is not appropriate for kids who put small objects in their mouth. The box is marked "For Ages 5+" and "Small Parts - not for children under 3 years."

This is a great item...I purchased this for my 5 year old granddaughter. She really enjoyed doing them. Very easy for her to understand and it kept her busy for hours. I highly recommend this.

The little girl I bought this for is 5, and she LOVES it! I think it was educational too because she had to use fine motor skills, and memory skills and try to match the right colors and numbers. And it the end its a beautiful picture shes proud of!

We got this for our 7 year old. She LOVED it and worked on it for hours until she finished all 4 pictures! After that, though, they just sat around the house until they got thrown away. There were foam stickers EVERYWHERE! What a mess! The important part is that she enjoyed it while doing it. The design is drawn on very stiff paper. It does not bend easily. The box contains everything and can be resealed to keep the whole thing in one place. The pictures don't fit as well once you get the foam pieces on it, though! My one complaint is that the pictures show foam stickers covering the whole page, but in fact only the focus of the picture (bug, bird, ect) is numbered for stickers and they don't provide enough foam stickers to cover the backgrounds of every picture. I felt this was misleading. The barn package does include background numbers and stickers.
