5Extremely good protection for the price.  Apr 14, 2007 By Old Head Gamer "O*H*G"
I recently replaced my Artic White DS Lite with an Onyx DS Lite, after having trouble with my shoulder buttons, which I attribute to several drops onto hard surfaces. Obviously, I want to protect my new handheld a little better than i did the other one, so I was happy to find a reasonably priced, solidly constructed hard-shell case!

The DS Lite fits snugly into the soft rubber base on the inside of the case, and the storage for 3 additional game cards gets them out of my pocket and in a safer place. Unlike the other review, I think that judging my the gauge of plastic that is used, it would probably withstand a decent hit before cracking. I'm sure it'd break if you dropped a barbell on it, but how likely is something like that to happen?

In any case, I highly recommend this case, especially given how affordable it is.

3Good protection, but that's about it  Feb 08, 2007 By David Whittle
This case is good for transporting the DS and protecting it from scratches during transport, but nothing more. It has a place for 3 game cards and an extra stylus, which is also handy. The bottom part is made from solid rubber that holds the DS in place, but the plastic lid seems like it could shatter if something heavy fell on it.

It would have been nice if there was a way to charge the unit while it is in the case.

All in all, it does what it looks like it will do.

4Nearly Perfect  Jul 18, 2007 By R. Canedo
I scoured the web searching for the best DS Lite case to accompany the unit I had purchased as a gift. Many were way too bulky. What's the point of lugging a hand-held console around in a suitcase? Silicone skins are okay but I wanted to give the recipient the ability to carry around a few favorite games. Three slots seems just about right and the space to store the DSL's extra stylus is a nice touch. I also looked at leather and foam models that would allow play without removing the system from the case. Some used magnetic closures that, according to some reviews, can damage the DSL. Many had restraints to secure the unit that would seem to keep it from closing completely. The rubber housing in this model does a pretty good job of securing the DSL during play.

Thanks for the info from the two previous reviewers. I agree that the plastic case appears rugged enough to withstand routine mishaps, and that the ability to charge the unit in place would have been great. Only one other design flaw keeps this from being the perfect DSL case: The top of the case only hinges to 90 degrees as shown in the photo. If it was able to mimic the hinged settings of the DSL and lay flat, that would greatly enhance play-through. Hmm, maybe I can drag out the Dremel and make those two mods... ?

5Great Case  Aug 30, 2008 By R. Barone
Great little case for your Nintendo DS. Keeps Ninetendo & 3 games in a safe place.

5Love it  Apr 29, 2008 By M. Tremper "Gamer"
I've had this case for a few months now and I love it. The whole case is solid with the rubber base holding the DS in place very well. I can shut the lid and shake it and it doesnt move at all. While the storage space is limited I only have 4 games so its fine for me (3 in case 1 in DS).

If only I could find my space stylus I could make it complete! But alas...
All in all this was a great buy for me.
