Purchased the RAZR V3 for my wife for Christmas. I am just sick of her being stuck in contract after contract with AT&T and wanted to break the cycle. She also needed a phone for some European trips so the unlocked tri-band phone was the perfect solution on all counts. The first one arrived in plenty of time for Christmas but when it came time to use it, the phone wouldn't even charge. No problem I sent it back to Amazon and insisted they replace and not repair the unit (you have that option despite the fact that is not explained to you in the warranty paperwork). The second unit arrived about a week later and all is well. The European charger that it came with (our phone was sourced through Hong Kong) is a bit funky, but the phone works far better than her old V550 and is able to lock onto signal in places her old phone never could. Don't hand your money to the evil phone barrons!!! Get this phone and kiss your contract goodbye!!!

Phone arrived within a week, with all the packaging one would expect, as well as several accessories, but upon turning on displays an error that is apparently unfixable by me. Will be returning it. From what I read while trying to discover what was wrong with this phone, unlocked devices are a bit of a crapshoot...you might get lucky, or you might not. I would not recommend purchasing this unless you are a bit of a gambler or fairly knowledgable about cell phones and feel you can solve most problems yourself. Phone was in perfect condition other than being completely nonfunctional, so I'm giving it one star.

I bought 2 of these. One red and one blue. The red one quit working after 4 months, and the blue one lasted 6 months. Not the same quality as the one I had back when they were popular. Don't waste your money! The return window has closed on these, so I'm stuck. I could still return and get a portion of the purchase price back if I pay postage, but they don't tell me how much the refund would be. Thought you all should know.

I'm so glad this phone is still available - I had to replace my husband's six year old razr! I just wish the battery would last longer than a day - I tried to contact the seller about the warranty but received no response.
