I had tried a few other ways to connect an electric guitar through my Mac to take lessons on GarageBand. This is simple and inexpensive. And it works! Anyone who wants to record their guitar on their computer should get one of these right off the bat. Plug and play was never more true.

This is a simple converter, but it's working very well. I use it to connect my guitar to an old powerbook g4, and I've had no problems.

Works right out of the box, just plug it into the computer- as long as you plug it through a pedal or other power source (the product doesn't tell you that it's needed). Once it's plugged in, it works like a charm and sounds good on the computer.

It's small and reliable and that's all i really need. It's cheap enough considering it has lasted me a couple of years and i've never had a problem. If you have garageband it's a great way to gain access to all the effects if your amp is old school like mine.

Great cable connector. I have a Monster guitar cable that I use to to connect my ESP LTD MH-53 to my Dell Studio XPS 1640. A little more expensive than the standard ones, but it comes with the brand name & that counts where the quality matters. Zero interference & clear sound. I've been using this for about four months now & it's as good as ever.
