5Great puzzle for preschooler  Nov 22, 2007 By Davis Mom
My 3-year-old and I really like working on this puzzle together. (She can't do it alone. I expect a 4-year-old could. The recommended 6-9 age seems too old.) I think the size of a floor puzzle gives her more of a sense of accomplishment than a standard sized puzzle.

The pieces link nicely so that you get a bit of the next person as you go around the circle. (The last piece of the American boy links into the Chinese girl so you know which character to look for next.)

The pictures of kids from other countries gives a segue to the concept of people from other parts of the world. And they list the country names, so you don't have to feel like an idiot. ;)

Melissa & Doug never let me down. This is another good, quality toy.

5Very Winning Puzzle  May 27, 2008 By L. Berger "L Berger"
All Melissa & Doug puzzles are wonderful and fun for children (and adults) to do, but this puzzle is extra special. For starters it is a giant circle-shape. Also, the theme of Children Around the World is very appealing, especially to my 6 1/2 yr old grandson who has been learning about this topic in school. After we have finished the puzzle each time, we talk about the "kids from other countries" and we pick our favorite ones. Each time we have done the puzzle we have discussed the children and to me this is an extra fun thing. Even my 4 yr old grandson likes it, but his interest in discussing the children depicted is more limited. This puzzle is a must for puzzle-doing families!

5Grandsons delight  Mar 08, 2009 By Kim Lauri
I bought this for my 3 year old grandson who loves puzzles. This one has a duel purpose, its a great puzzle and it teaches him the world. He has put it together many times since I gave it to him.

5Another great Melissa & Doug toy  Jul 19, 2008 By S. Burch "watercolormom"
Our 3 1/2 year old daughter loves this puzzle. It's a nice large size with large pieces that fit together easily. This adds to our daughter's sense of accomplishment, and she enjoys the new challenge of a large round puzzle. Now she puts it together by herself and when she's done, we then discuss the different cultures of the children holding hands. This really adds more value and more time spent using this verses other puzzles.
