Kids love it Nov 02, 2007
By M. Mangin
"Mrs M"
This saber has provided hours of "battling" fun for our Star Wars loving kids. First, it "pops" out (spring loaded), glows, and "hums" while being used. We bought 2 and the boys (7 and 9 yrs) love to battle, and they fight the correct way, not to hurt, but to have tons of fun. Great price ($10), 1/2 of what they are in the store, with no shipping or tax to boot!

Awesome! Apr 16, 2009
By MJC don't know who loves these things more, the kids or me. We have three of them (Luke, Darth, Obi) and they are the coolest. They can take a good beating too...within reason, of course.
The 'blade' retracts completely into the handle. The package makes it look as though it doesn't, but it does. Also they are pretty long when extended. The sound effects are pretty good too. Of course, the best part is that the effects are motion and contact sensitive.
Great toy for the child (or adult) who is into Star Wars (or just likes beating the tar out of their sibling).

Very fun. Very sturdy. Dec 07, 2007
By J. Anspach My boys absolutely love these lightsabers! We've owned them for several months and they do not take it easy during their duals. I'm impressed with the durability of the toys and there's just something about hearing that snap-hiss sound that comes with the "blade" springing out of the hilt. Obviously, I play with these as much as my sons.
Lots of fun, won't be around for long though Jun 17, 2009
By Megan Shenton I bought a blue and a red light saber for my nephews for Christmas and then another two for myself and a friend for a Star Wars party recently this year. They are really fun. They made noise and lit up. My nephews didn't pay attention to any other gifts on Christmas morning! Also, all of my friends enjoyed playing with the other set at our party. The only downside is that they aren't very durable at all and are easily battered. But really, I had expected that when I bought them. I think this item is a good deal. It's fun to play with, doesn't cost much, and won't annoy you for too long! haha. Good buy. I'd recommend it.
Use Obi Wan Kenobi's Saber to defeat the Forces of Evil Nov 11, 2008
By Eagle Vision The construction is solid. A button activates the sword by extending the saber and turning on the lights/special effects. It is a safe toy and I don't forsee immediate danger, except for defeat of the evil wielders of the Force. Sound effects are realistic and the lights are a great touch. My daughter loves it and I don't mind sword fighting with her, either.
Pros: Button actuating the saber Sound effects Solid construction
Cons: None
This is a great addition to your Jedi's collection. I highly recommend it.
