A lovely surprise May 17, 2007

I was a little wary before I bought this pen. I knew of Cross's reputation but I thought..."A pen is a pen!" Still, I enjoy writing with fountain pens, so I ordered it as a treat to myself. I had no cause to worry: once I started writing with the pen, I never wanted to write with anything else. The nib feels strong and durable on paper and the ink flows seamlessly. My only caveat is that I wish the pen were slightly bigger around but in all other respects, it was a wonderful purchase. I've yet to use the converter for ink dipping but it seems easy to use (with no ink mess), should I choose to do so. The blue color is a bit more intense than the muted blue of the picture but it's still pretty. I highly, highly recommend this pen to anyone who's looking to purchase a quality writing instrument.

Cross Fountain pen Mar 26, 2008
By Shawn Miller

The Cross fountain pen is a nice pen nicely finished and stylish. The only thing about it is the small ink refills that it takes and the short amount of time that you can write with it before it runs out of ink. I like it, but I don't like the small amount of ink they give you for the refills. So if you are buying the pen to write in a journal, or diary etc. you might want to think about buying a fountain pen that actually holds enough ink to do the job. My next purchase would be a Parker fountain pen, they are nice and stylish, and have longer refill cartridges which holds more ink.

Good product Dec 30, 2007
By U. A. Hall I use this pen mostly in a professional capacity (writing clinical notes, signing documents, etc). My penmanship has always been best with a fountain pen. The Cross Century II has the weight to slide right into the perfect writing position in my hand but is not so heavy that my hand tires. Its sleek design makes it fit nicely into the pen pocket of my lab coat. The royal blue color is awesome! The only drawback for me personally is that the medium nib on my pen is narrower than that of other medium-nibbed pens I own, and it doesn't glide as smoothly as some of my other (larger) medium-nipped pens. Overall a good product and highly recommended.Cross Century II Royal Blue w/ stainless steel nib Medium Point Fountain Pen - 419-24MS

Beautiful Pen...Amazon has bad description. Aug 27, 2011
By cnfdrate1 The pen itself is wonderful. Typical Cross Pen quality. Absolutely stunning.
The only problem I had was Amazon's description of the product. The description states that the pen includes the converter to allow you to use the pen with bottled ink. I returned my first pen thinking the converter was missing. I received the second one quickly (three cheers for Amazon's customer service), but when I looked in the box, the converter was still not included.
I immediately thought something was amiss, so I went to Cross's website, and lo and behold, the Century II Royal Blue Fountain Pen does NOT come with the converter.
Amazon needs to check its listings and product descriptions.
I love the pen and will purchase the converter, but it was still a disappointment to be told that a product came with something, only to find out it did not.

Great pen Mar 10, 2007

This pen is smooth and writes graciously. The line is alittle bolder than I anticipated. Fine writing utensil.
