Good bins, but needs to be anchored to wall Aug 02, 2008
By MAK This was a great buy, especially for the price. We decided to mix and match the bin colors to give it a nicer look, but it really fits in nicely with my daughter's playroom motif of primary colors. The bins are light and easy for her to pull out. The only downside is that the entire piece is very light and not as sturdy as a heavier piece of furniture would be. I am afraid that, before I know it, my daughter will be standing on the lower bar or pulling on the top bar and end up tipping in over on herself. To solve this problem, we are anchoring it to the wall behind it for safety. It is a nice way to organize a bunch of toys. (It held more than I thought it would with it's very wide bins.) But you should be prepared to anchor it to the wall for your child's safety.

Function, Fashion, aFfordable Jul 22, 2008

I purchased this for my daughter. We already own a similar product from target that comes with plastic bins. We *just* got it today but my impressions so far are good. I like the fabric bins and the handles are helpful to get them in and out. I'd say it's a bit shorter than the one from Target, however the bins are good-sized. The larger bin seems to hold more than the big bins from our similar product.
One note -- the sides/bars are WHITE. For some reason I thought they were a light wood color. This works great for me, since it complements her decor but please take note of this in case it wouldn't work for you.
Overall, worth the less than $[...] with free shipping to bring some order to a very busy 2 year olds room.

Not a bad purchase Aug 17, 2009
By Bernie I purchased this the other day because
1) My almost-two-year-old has a ton of toys, both big and small 2) I have little storage for said toys 3) The cloth bins looked a bit kinder if he decided to throw them around 4) It was (at the time) the least expensive item due to the free shipping
It met my expectations. It was relatively easy to put together, the instructions were not hard to figure out, and all I needed was a phillips head screwdriver and about 40 minutes (I did it by myself during naptime). The holes for some of the wooden dowels were stripped, so you may want to use wood glue as you screw them in. The holes are not all drilled exactly where they should be, but with enough tightening of the screws it all works out. The cloth and cardboard boxes fit nicely and look nice in it. It fits a fair amount of small toys, and I plan on buying another one just like it in the near future.
Please be aware that it will tip over if a tot is trying to pull him or herself up on it. For safety reasons, you should really attach the frame to the wall if you know your toddler is going to pull on it to stand. The good thing is that it's really lightweight just in case you don't...
UPDATE- I've since upgraded to a 12 cube bookshelf with the fabric cube bins and I like that a lot better. It holds more toys and is much sturdier. For example: ClosetMaid 8644 9-Cube Organizer, White

Dismal Quality Feb 20, 2011
By Dana Pelletier This organizer looked impressive online, but as in all online shopping you have to hope it is matched in reality. Unfortunately it wasn't!! This product is cheap and poorly made. It may be worth $20 if they redesigned it. It is composed of a number of wooden dowels and square collapsible cloth bins with a cloth covered plastic bottom which slips in the bins when they are expanded and keeps them in shape. The bins don't appear very durable. They remind me of the products you would purchase in the dollar store. More importantly, although we were disappointed by the quality when it arrived,we decided to keep it and began assembling the unit. The dowels go across from one side piece to the other, fitting in recessed holes in each side. They are secured by a small hole in the side in the middle of the larger dowel hole and a hole in the center of the end of the dowel in which a supplied screw is inserted and tightened. We began putting the screws through the side hole into the dowel and when we began tightening;the dowel split. I thought it may have been a single case but the same thing happened on the next 3 out of 4. I then decided to pack up the product and ship it back.(Although I haven't got my credit yet for the return, Amazon was very quick in authorizing a return and had it picked up the next day.) Overall, the product was not nearly worth the price listed and I recommend you look elsewhere for a similar product.

OK for the price Dec 29, 2010

As a relatively cheap product it is just OK and maybe worth your money if you are going to use it in a lower traffic playroom or such. However, if your kids are going to be filling these bins up and pulling them down to get things often they just don't hold up. Bins rip fairly soon under heavy normal use and the fabric isn't particularly well reinforced. The wooden shelf itself is fine.
