For Asian faces Sep 04, 2008

The "Dragon" are the best goggles I have ever found to fit my Asian face. I find regular goggles really uncomfortable and prefer the swim masks, but most have nose holes that are too large for my nonexistent nose bridge. These work great and must be made for Asians because they even have an Asian model on the package.

Didn't fit my Asian face...:( Nov 21, 2009
By Wayne Leigh The title says it all. There were noticeable gaps around my non-existent nose-bridge, which I could see, looking at the mirror. Of course it leaked like nobody's business! Wonder what kind of Asians they have in mind. Semites?

Perfect for my Asian nose Dec 03, 2008

I've been through a few of these masks for Masters swimming. My sensitive eye lids due to eczema demand that I wear a mask and not goggles. They are so great!! And I have my own snorkeling goggles :)
An Asian fit swim goggle / mask that actually fits! Feb 22, 2012
By LEE Last year, I injured my calf & ankle while running. The pain still lingers. My doctor recommended swimming to aid in my recovery; then I remembered why I don't swim to exercise. I wear contact lens & I haven't found a swim goggle that fits my face since I have a very low nose bridge. Since I wanted to add swimming to my exercise routine, I went on the hunt for a swim goggle that would fit my Asian face.
I tried Speedo swim goggles (the ones with the half dollar size lens), but they put so much pressure around my eye sockets that it felt as if my eyeballs and my contact lens would pop out.
I next looked at swim masks. Aqua Sphere makes the most popular swim masks. At a local store, I tried on the Aqua Sphere "Vista" & "Seal" swim masks, but the masks did not seal at my nose bridge. A store employee mentioned that Aqua Sphere made a swim mask designed for someone with my facial feature called a "Seal Dragon," but no store in my area had one in stock.
After researching the Internet for information on the "Seal Dragon," I decided to buy one since it was marketed as having a "face skirt designed for lower & wider nose bridges." This seemed to match my facial feature so I rolled-the-dice & ordered one from Amazon.
When I received the Aqua Sphere "Seal Dragon", it looks exactly like the "Seal" swim mask except the "Seal Dragon" has a wider & longer seal gasket at the nose bridge for a more secure water-tight fitting for someone with a low or wider nose bridge. For me, it was a great fit & the joy of swimming has returned to my life. When I put on the "Seal Dragon," I press the mask on my face to burp it to expel trapped air & the mask sticks like glue to my face.
The "Seal" & other similar swim masks have a seal gasket that only extends about 1/8-inch from the bottom of the mask's nose bridge. By comparison, the "Seal Dragon" has a seal gasket that extends a hefty 1/2-inch from the nose bridge. The additional length & width of the seal gasket provides for the water-tight seal needed for someone with a low or wider nose bridge.
I ordered the "Seal Dragon" clear lens mask, but I later ordered a tinted one. I use the clear one at the indoor pool, but I find myself using the tinted one more often since I tend to swim outdoors more frequently & I also use it when I ocean surf in my kayak.
Unfortunately, the Aqua Sphere "Seal Dragon" swim mask has been discontinued & it does not currently offer a swim goggle or mask designed specifically for someone with a low or wide nose bridge. I couldn't find any other manufacturer that offers a similar swim goggle or mask. If you want a swim goggle or mask that fits an Asian face, I'd recommend that you buy a "Seal Dragon" if you find one because once they are gone, they are gone. That's another reason why I ordered a tinted lens one.
NOTE: Current models of Aqua Sphere swim mask are sold with their own hard plastic carrying case. Since the "Seal Dragon" is an older model, there is no carrying case.
IMPORTANT: The stock photo on Amazon is NOT the "Seal Dragon," but of the similar "Seal." The packaging & appearance of the "Seal Dragon" & the "Seal" are exactly the same. There is no marking on the package to identify it as a "Seal Dragon" except for a stick-on label (see the photo that I've uploaded which shows the stick-on label). If the label falls off, or if some unscrupulous seller affixes the label to a "Seal," there is no way to tell if it's a "Seal" or a "Seal Dragon" unless you know how to read the UPC bar code or some other manufacturer code. You can, of course, examine it and look for the longer seal gasket at the nose bridge.
I've uploaded a photo of my Aqua Sphere "Seal Dragon" to help give buyers a comparison between the two & to better understand my review. Again, the most obvious difference is the amount of seal gasket under the nose bridge. The "Seal Dragon" also has a big capital letter "E" on the seal gasket below the nose bridge.

Didn't fit well and leaked Jun 01, 2008
By D. Schooler I returned this for a refund because it leaked, no matter how tight or loose it was fit. Depending on size and shape of face, it may work fine for the right person, but not for me.
