This fitness set is designed to maximize water aerobic exercizing. The water belt is of excellent quality and construction. The gloves are medium quality and if left sitting wet, the dye can end up on the table or concrete. I got the set for the dumb bells. They were disappointing. The weights kept coming off after my third workout. I will have to find some kind of strong glue to fix them. Also, they are not made of the good stuff like the belt. They are of "noodle" material, which I know from experience, only lasts 2 years before deteriorating. If I had to doit again, I would have just bought another brand of bells which did not come with the other items.

I did water exercises while I was pregnant with my second child...I loved the water dumbbells at my gym and I wanted a set to leave at my in-laws house because I use their pool once in a while. When I first got the set there was not gloves, I really only wanted the dumbbells and belt so I didn't make a fuss. The belt is nice and very buoyant, but the dumbbell were cheap, made out of that water noodle material and from the first use, the ends kept slipping off no matter how gently I would move them through the water, so I didn't get much of a workout. Too bad.

I was not happy with the barbells! When doing the exercises in the water they came apart right out of the sleeving and the black disk at the end fell out. I used the weights maybe 4 times when this happened. I would not recomend them to anyone, I was very disappointed in the product. The main reason why I ordered it was for the price and the name of the company. I thought I would have years of use, the rest of it is fine.

This is a great buy. Many of my local
stores carry these items but only sold
separately and the cost is double.
Also every water aerobics or exercise
classes uses them. Even though your
community center has loaners on hand,
most everyone has their own.

I now understand why this "Aqua Fitness Exercise Set - 6 Pieces" is listed under "Toys" instead of "Sporting Goods!" The Dumbbells in the package that I received were solid blue and give only the lightest weight resistance in water. Therefore, they are only for beginners who have not yet strengthened their arm muscles. The Amazon product photo of the Dumbbells had indicated "blue, black and green material" and appeared to be the same as medium weight Dumbbells from Aqua Fitness that my friend had already loaned to me. I thought I was getting those in the package I ordered here! The gloves appear very flimzy. We'll see how they do. My friend who is 84 years old was willing to take the light weight blue dumbbells in trade for a heavier pair that she gave to me. Since I've been doing water aerobics for more than 2.5 years, this "Aqua Fitness Exercise Set - 6 Pieces" was not appropriate for my needs.
