4So far so good  Dec 13, 2006 By Seadee "Geek Girl"
I bought this for my new white Macbook Core 2 Duo cuz I'd read about the discoloration issue where the wrists rest. Application was simple enough, and it does reapply easily without residue if you don't get it placed right the first time. The edges of the new Macbook are quite sharp in my opinion, and I find the the extra cushioning really helps.

I have read on the Marware site about the edges rolling up after awhile, but you just press them back down again. I suspect I'll have that issue after awhile.

The keyboard cloth is soft enough to not scratch up the beautiful glossy screens when you wipe off any smudges, which I've already done (lightly at first).

It looks good, just ignore the Marware logo on the upper left. And it doesn't interfere with closing the notebook.

Nov 29, 2007 - Well it's been a year, and the protector is still on. It gets bubbles under it every once in awhile, but you just smooth them out and it's fine. It's a little worn and discolored, but I lifted the edge and the Mac edges look fine. I really like having that supersoft cloth to keep my screen clean.

3Half-way what I wanted.  Jan 15, 2007 By A. B. Wallen
I was one of the unfortunate crowd who got the new MacBook with defective plastic. The hand-rest area turned a strange reddish-brown, and no, it wasn't because we weren't washing our hands. Apple recognizes the problem and replaces the cases for all MacBooks in a certain serial number set.

Anyway, after this unfortunate experience, I was paranoid about keeping my computer shiny and new-looking. I bought the Marware Protection pack, and have had it a couple months now. It fits great, covers just the area I wanted, and surprisingly even feels much nicer to the touch than just the computer plastic. A little padding apparently goes a long way. The grey microfiber "keyboard" protector does the job fine, and doubles as a screen cleaner.

The downside is that the hand-rest cover doesn't want to stay stuck. I didn't want something that I wouldn't be able to remove, but it looks pretty stupid with the corners peeling up all the time. And no, just pressing them down again doesn't work, they pop up again within seconds. Also, the cover collects dirt and needs to be cleaned occasionally. I'm not sure which is more lame--having a slightly dirty computer or having a dirty protector. I'm considering removing the darn thing and just dealing with a less-than-pristine computer case.

2palm pad keeps peeling  Jan 18, 2007 By madminor
The left palm pad keep peeling, possibly from the uneven heat.
This make the protection pad a lot less useful than one would
think, which is most people buy this pack for

5Marware Protection Pack 13" MacBook White  Jan 08, 2007 By Alexander T. Esplin "Alex"
This is an excellent product and is just what I wanted. The micro-leather cover for the palm rests is comfortable and although it has become somewhat discolored, my MacBook hasn't. The keyboard cover keeps all the grit and grim off the screen and serves as an excellent screen cleaner.

1I bought the Marware Protection Pack to Prevent it From Getting Dirty  Mar 01, 2007 By David Do "David"
This is one of the most frustrating things that has happened to me. So I bought my MacBook a week ago and to go a long with it I bought the Marware Protection Pack.

The purpose I bought the cover for was to protect my notebook, however the hand rest cover has RUINED my notebook.

There is a sticky residue that is left behind when I peeled back the hand rest today. It is all over the hand rest portion of my laptop.

Keep in mind that it has been a week.

I am irritated and upset that Marware has sold me such a negligible product.
